hello all, this is where I clear up all the small talk surrounding the perceived insignificance of the second hole or the 'second opening' not to be confused with the gateway, commonly referred to as Demon's Creek. overwhelming evidence has prevailed despite avid opposition that a second "safe" entrance to the Inland Empire DOES in fact exist. most vocal evidence exists in the form of recorded lore and rumor of the 'DARK MAN', a being who came across the hole by chance discovery while being preyed upon within the vortex itself. Some say he is the ONLY known survivor of the Inland Empire and since dedicated himself to private study of its effects and striving in an ironic manner to 'save' future souls from the same fate that nearly befell him. I quickly dismiss any of the grade-school babble spreading across the chat-groups like a cancer that the Dark Man is inhuman. Clearly he is, or the sightings would not be prevalent in an outpost as narrow and isolated from today's cyberculture as Hellis, Washington. What we DO know is that he's a cowboy, frequents the town's only saloon on occassion, and always dresses in black.

ok, so the second hole lies geographically between 10 and 20 miles from the original gate (Demon Creek) and is well hidden. Obviously, the Dark Man doesn't want more unwary victims to happen upon this entrance than the main entrance already consumes.

Usually I don't step in much as editor, as my role is probably closer to that of a "mediator" if anthing, but I do have a great deal on interest in the Hell's Army, its motives AND its influences, or never would have taken this job in the first place. So, guess it's safe to say I've become a bit of an authority on the subject since "Cyberian" ever became a word.
Dealing strictly with the Hell's Cyberians (not the former entities comprised of associated members), the most significant cult-forming influence has been on the Inland Empire vortex itself, situated roughly 20 miles outside the town of Hellis, WA (the last known outpost closest to the vortex). With its remoteness but relative proximity to a major city (Seattle), its history, swarms of lore and controversy surrounding the evil about the place, its undeniable physical evidence, and its promise of either transcendence or certain doom, it's no wonder that people have gathered near the vortex for ages. The fact is, cults play such an integral role in the Inland Empire's sustaining balance that they have literally "fed" the vortex for unknown generations before now. It has only been because of the recent capabilities of today's communications that we even know what has been happening. Until now, all "see'ers" (an old term referring to surviving inhabitants of the Inland Empire) have never been able to communicate beyond the boundaries of the vortex to relay what was going on inside. It is still not known whether a break or "hole" in the Vortex is required for radio-waves to effectively permeate its shell and reach beyond the perimeter to communicate with the outside world. It is still assumed that no see-er or being that has inhabited the Inland Empire for more than a few moments has ever returned, or even survived.
On my one visit to Demon Creek (Cyberians will be quick to correct you, referring to it as 'Daymon' Creek), I found the gate easily enough but found myself alone. It was more than I could take just to spend one night, as I could not sleep because of the sounds emanating from the gate... sometimes sounding like squeaking metal, other times like electricity, and yet other times very convincingly like screams. Also because of the charged atmosphere. I could almost see a luminous glow in the sky above the vortex sphere, pehaps as a result of seeing through two sides of the vortex shell.

I packed up that night and left. It was a long, unexpected drive back to Seattle, as I planned to catch a night in Hellis and found the town to be literally dead by the time I got there. Fortunately, expecting the worst, I had taken the jeep with a spare gastank which got me so far. Guess a little paranoia paid off!
Here are two pics I have of the gate itself. One I took the afternoon I arrived with my cheap digital camera. The other is a rare photograph dated from the early 19th century which I happened upon in a Snohomish museum. Admittedly, seeing this photograph was my first (fatal?) attraction... and I've been avidly researching the Inland Empire ever since. A year later I met my soon to be friend WindRunneR, who is in my humble opinion the best authority on the vortex to date.
[Although somewhat weathered and less decorative today, you can see how remarkably little has changed to the gate's structure itself in over 70 years. I did note that the trees beyond the gate 'inside' the Inland Empire had hardly grown, while the ones where I was standing were significantly taller- same with the grass. fortunately, the mild weather patterns surrounding Hellis, WA and neighboring wilderness have helped slow deterioration.. heh, I'm sure some would say this is not fortunate at all]
Note to the fanatics: If you venture up there (NOT recommended). Please read everything there is to know in the Survival Guide and associated FAQs here. Nobody can be held responsible for you and nobody can ensure your safe return. Trek carefully. Bring plenty of water. Know basic survival. Do NOT cross the gate.

*[editor's note] Genuine and confirmed (May05) I apologize for nearly two years worth of disclaiming the integrity of this post, as it has been my duty to filter out all the fakes. Since then I have met with Jade at several of our association gatherings and can attest that her experiences are not only true, she knows more about the vortex originated cults than anyone I know.

Light is often associated with positive balance, likewise Darkness is associated with negative balance- although I noticed that Negative days were actively sought with a fervor that Positive days could hardly compare with. As one member explained to me in warning, if a single charge ever continues uninterrupted for more than four days, the cult will become nearly 98% certain to venture into the Inland Empire. On sight of a smoke signal originating from within the Inland Empire boundary, the cult becomes 100% certain to venture forth within 1 hour, regardless of previous preparation. This is the most formal and sought-after vision that all I.E.-affiliated vortex cults hold in common. On day three of a negative charge, I quickly and quietly fled that afternoon. I haven't returned since.
One last point of interest: while I was there I noticed no signs of life, meaning wildlife, beyond the gate. Although I once heard a crow caw while standing about five feet from the gate. I swear it came from inside but did not investigate this further.

I couldn't help but notice your discrepancies with Ed Gein. I don't mean to make you mad at me - - don't get me wrong!! I know quite a lot about Ed Gein and Jack the Ripper and other serial killers out there who have live or are now dying/dead. I just guess I got into in when I was little, Ed Gein make furniture out of people's body parts (victims) and also made lamp shades out of their skin and lots of other things. So many things that he is the most demented serial killer in history - - at lest of the ones who were caught!! I have been seriously considering an in-depth Serial Killer section, but it WILL bring a lot of attention to this site. I know for a fact of several so called “scary places” in America. They go by other names I'm sure you've heard of… mystery spots, vortex, soiled grounds, wormholes, shadowlands (credit to CS Lewis), ritual sites, sacred groves, and the infamous haunted hills and houses and groves.
These places continue to appear at random and haunt unsuspecting visitors. Others sites have existed for centuries- perhaps longer. There are a great many mysteries surrounding these ‘bad' places. But just as their enigmatic qualities baffle us, their similarities can, with patience, be clearly seen. Of the most obvious connections… existence in or near places of rest, places of worship, sites or tragedy or murder, and places of historical significance. For this, and other reasons, sites have generated their own histories. The most popular forming their own pools of followers and enthusiasts, even to cult levels.
I personally have direct ties to this underground empire, if you will, and numerous links to acquaintances associated with the darker aspects of mysterious places. I know where you're talking about! There are many places but most of them are Secret. One place is in Everett but I don't remember what it's called. But the real scary one is in Woodinville. I mean REALLY scary!! It is called Maltby and everyone always talked about it at school. I didn't think about it until I heard grownups talking about it – then that really made me wonder. OK, SweeThang (and anyone else interested), I find out more information from my friend. He went up there in hi-school to a party and said it didn't seem like it would be that fun. He said it turned out to NOT be fun at all!! It was not because it was boring but because the place was a little TOO spooky. There were signs posted all over and the neighbors were watching to make sure nobody went into the woods where it (the graves) lay. He swears it is true and even got the name of one of the neighbors because a few of them were caught coming back out of the place. The police were there and everything.
I still have an ever weirrder story about something I did when I was fifteen but I'm waiting for someone to email me back first. If I don't hear back then I will go ahead and tell it- but I want to make sure I don't know this person. (and I can't explain why, just trust me!!) Jedeyes21 4-18-06
Jedeyes, the place you speak of is highly popular. It is called the Maltby Cemetary. It is located in a dark region near the town of Maltby, which is a short distance from Woodinville. Your elders are wise in telling you to avoid this place. Most of the victims it has claimed have ventured into its clutches on foolish curiosity - without realizing the true consequences they were stepping into. Our government even took measures to choke its siren call by hanging a sign high in the trees warning anyone who enters of prosecution or perhaps worse. It is difficult to say whether the place is truly haunted by dark spirits or survives off warnings passed generation to generation through tradition. Ironically, I've heard stories that praise its safety and welcome allure during daylight hours- while others clearly describe its wicked intentions under the shroud of night. Perhaps a fiendishly clever means of drawing victims? Casual study of this exact area for the past decade leads me to truly believe that the darkness is spreading, albeit slowly, from the epicenter – which is, in fact, a tomb sunken within a graveyard, which is laid as concentric, terraced semi-circles that form a candelabra shape. From birth, this place has been bad.

Wow! I didn't really know other people knew about this! But I guess if I think about it lots of people seemed to know but nobody was brave enough to talk about it for very long! Let me get to the point……. I HAVE BEEN to the Maltby Cemetary! Even better, I have camera footage of my expedition there!! If the editor would be willing to put it on this site, I would be happy to figure out how to turn it into a .avi file (or whatever) so that other people can see it. Yes, the sign put up by the dept. of Transportation is true. The circles are true also. There are also temple stones at the entrance. I didn't get footage of these because I went in the more stealthy ‘back' way. I am glad that I had a zoom lens because when I got there, there was a creepy old person milling around. By the time I saw this person I thought I would be caught (cursed?) so I backed away and made it back through the woods to my car. I don't think I was followed. Ok – Editor? Do you want this footage. Ok OK! I had to find an old projector. It's shot on 8mm film so it was kind of brittle. What I am doing is making a film copy to 8mm Canon and then I will go to my friends and he says he has a computer that can make an .avi file with it. I only have a minute because 1) I was scared 2) the camera made a lot of noise out there so I was trying to be secret 3) the film was expensive, if I remember. I even had to focus before I started the camera! I have footage of the sign that was put up. It will be submitted in just about a week after I get together with my friend. Stay tuned!

I also found out that there were people in accidents and possibly killed just driving by the place – so I only made two passes! I'm glad it was daytime. Oh, I forgot. Here is some info for those of you also want to investigate places. This is based on experience.
Get a map because you need to know where you are in case you get hurt or lost or even chased!
Fill up with gas because you may need to idle for a long time, waiting for the right time to go in. This happened to me!
Bring boots or shoes good for running and climbing over fences and branches.
Bring a stake and ribbon if you need to remember where you reached if you need to return later.
Bring a knife, no questions asked.

Yes! I have been to the Forest of Time!! It is in Redmond, WA. I went ther e when I was little. I cant really remember where it is because I wasn only about 8 years old. I remember going back into the trees and it was the middle of sumemer. And do you know what I saw?? We found ice in the puddles. Real ICE! It was the middle of summer heat and we thought that was bizarre. I remember my older sister looking around like she heard something and then she made me run for a minute/ I guess 30 seconds/ and then we hid in the ferns while a strange man walked past us. He had on really strange clothes but I think he was just a strange man. His dog looked at me, like it was looking thorugh the eyes of its master. I just stayed paralyzed and didn't make a sound as it walked past. That's all I remember. That night I had a nightmare about the dog. It didn't eat me, it tried to talk to me and that was almost worse.Does anyone else know about this place? Please tell. Spy002 5-13-06

Ok, here goes. I spent the night IN the graveyard. Not only that (hold on to your seats), I laid down IN an open grave!! I could feel the dirt sucking me down. Itw as the wierrdest feeling I had. I could see the stars up above and they were falling away from em and it was so strange because I wanted to just close my eyes and forget about everything. For some reason I thought I would die if I did. Then I thought to my friend, “Hey lets get out of here” and suddenly he was standing abouve me and pulled me out. I kind of don't expect anyone to believe me but that is the truth and all I have to say is “You Can't Handle the Truth! It time for me to tell story I had. It was very odd. I walk downstairs last night. I haerd a nocking on the door. SO I went to answer it. No one at door, but then I hear a nock on widow over in next room. My house is small, so I thought it was someone trick me and run to window and nock there. I turn around and sheet from bed upstairs was covering my picture of my mother. She died 12 years ago in other country. I do not know how sheet got there. But I normal do not store my sheets there! Kager- this is not something new that you are talking about, right? What you descroibed has been part of the original Ed Gein stories and it is VERY true. The lady was a clerk at a stor and also the wife, I think, of the small town's sheriff. You better bet he was pissed when he found his wife slung up like some hunted deer being prepared for meat….or in Ed Gein's case, for clothing or some weird shit like that! Nice new pics! True, many films including Texas, Silence, Seven, and Henry-Portrait are based in part on the Ed Gein stories. I heard of another in the making in Washington. I don't know what it is called though and the makers are being secret about it. (if anyone knows, let me know!!) Ed kept his mother in his house long after she died there. It's possible that his attachment to her lead to his insanity after that. Keep talking movies guys, they are a clear window to what is happening in our world. Just wanted to post about some freaky shit I saw/heard. Went up over the mountains in WA with a friend. We got out, heard some freaky shit. It was quiet at first, then got louder as my friend got back in the car. Scared the shit out of us. Sounded like a dying dog, but the sound was so surreal I can't imagine what it actually could have been. Anthony 7-8-06
If you are talking about highway 2 in WA over the pass… then, yeah, that has already been reported, dude! Supposedly it is hauted, but I have heard that there is actually some sort of metal yard (owned by some hillbilly I'm sure). But seriously, I think that's all you heard. Someone else LMK if there are any other rumors on this story. It's a great legend in a way because only a few people have heard it… it only happens when you are directly across from it.
